EMERGING STORYTELLER

Hey! I'm Georgia!
Growing up in a coastal town in Queensland, my childhood can be measured in the fictional stories I disappeared into. I was around 8 years old when I decided I wanted to be a writer, and since then I've been cultivating my voice in the novel and the editorial.

I graduated from the University of the Sunshine Coast in 2022, coming away with a Bachelor of Creative Industries (Creative Writing and Publishing) and a Minor in Journalism. My studies propelled me into the journalism industry, earning me opportunities from freelance contributions in locally-minded newspapers to editorial features in quarterly lifestyle magazines.

As I told the stories and shared the voices of real communities, I began to actualise the fictional narratives taking shape in my mind. After featuring in a literary anthology, I'm currently discovering my industry in the UK, buried deep in the manuscript of my debut novel and exploring the realms of short story and poetry alongside freelance journalism!
